Through my Coaching practice; serving as a health, wellness, chronic illness (Diabetes, Hypertension), and weight loss guide, clients and I successfully build a supportive and nurturing relationship, lovingly cocooned in a safe and non-judgmental environment in which to identify and explore behavioral modifications – the barriers to change.
Each client – with guidance, support, nurturing and science based principals – moves forward, confident, in their personalized strategic plan for long-term well-being and a feeling of empowerment towards better managing their health challenges.
When we are at a healthy weight we feel comfortable and are able to look in the mirror and truly like what we see … we feel in Control, Confident and Powerful.
Fueling your energy for weight loss is all about speeding up your metabolism by understanding how weight loss works, building a structure and the consistency that develops lifelong habits and which bring about the results you want.
Often we seek out the “quick-fix” through fad diets, unhealthy starvation/long-term fasting, and strict adherence to only one plan all of which do not provide sustainable weight loss.
Most of these programs only focus on what you’re eating, and of course I care about what you eat.
My goal is to help you understand when and why you’re eating and to help you find more manageable ways to overcome any behavioral patterns, your relationship with food, stress and binge eating and breakdown emotional , habitual and mindless eating patterns.
As much we as all want the process of weight loss to go quickly, we have to first accept that weight loss is not a race but more like a slow crawl to the finish line – but what a finish it will be!
Your journey towards sustainable weight loss will be one we take together and will begin first by identifying the “present” (challenges with over-eating, stress-eating, frustrations with managing age and body changes and finding and holding on to your motivation and will power).
In any desire to change or transition there also exists a need to explore and address beliefs, values and behaviors associated with food, as well as, understanding the “whole-person” while incorporating the holistic and spiritual relationships of the mind and body.
As your Weight Loss Coach, I will walk (or run) with you as we explore and develop a “Plan” that supports your goal while also addressing your mental, emotional and physical lifestyle viewpoint and realistic expectations.
